I was the happiest guy on earth that day

“I passed my JAMB and Post-UME, but I still couldn’t get admission into the university to study computer science.  So, I just took it as it is not my time yet. I anticipated applying the following year, but the school went on strike. It bothered me because I didn’t want to be out of school for too long. So I prayed and fasted. The following year I filled out forms for additional schools but made a mistake for Federal Polytechnic Ado Ekiti, so I didn’t write their exam.

I don’t know how it happened; it was the Federal Polytechnic Ado Ekiti, a school I that I didn’t write exams for that gave me admission. They gave me admission for the Computer Science course, and I was advised to take it on and use it to make way for myself. I thanked God, took my bags and traveled to Ado Ekiti.

When I got to there, I was told that the admission had been given since 4 months back (September). And since they never heard from or saw me until January, I had to write a letter to the school justifying the absence and no-show. So while I was doing that, the list admission came out for one of the schools I wrote an exam for, Ekiti State University. So I went and checked the list, and as thankfully, my name was there! I was given admission to the university!

So I didn’t even bother writing that letter for Federal Polytechnic Ado Ekiti. I was very happy that God came through for me. I trusted and had faith in Him, and He didn’t fail me. I just had to keep trying and wait for his time. I was the happiest guy on earth that day.”
